“Thoughts For Food” At Trinity Restaurant

31st July 2007 Print
Adan Byatt of Trinity Trinity Restaurant is situated in the heart of Clapham Old Town and adjacent to Clapham Common. Trinity opened in November 06 and sees Adam Byatt returning to his roots in Clapham, the area that saw his rise to critical acclaim and public success with his first owned restaurant Thyme.

Trinity has announced that “thoughts for food” will be beginning at Trinity Restaurant on the 7th of August. Head Chef Adam Byatt will take on a small class every fortnight and will be teaching the fundamental basics of cooking.

The curriculum will include subjects such as pasta, light braising, the purchase and preparation of ingredients, cooking fish and the perfect bread recipe (please see attached running sheet for the full list of subjects). Each class will cover two subjects.

The class will begin at 10.15am with light refreshments, and the lesson will run for one and a half hours. Participants will then have a short break and return to enjoy the fruits of their tuition over a light lunch and a glass of Champagne in the relaxed dining room.

These classes will be a mixture of visual demonstration and verbal tuition; note pads, recipe cards and your refreshments are all included in the price. The aim is to build a strong reputation for accessible learning and to grow these classes into informal, scheduled walk-in sessions over the coming year. The restaurant will be featuring hands-on lessons for children and offering “Thoughts for Food” externally later in the year.

Adam is part of the “adopt a school” program with the Academy of Culinary Arts and has demonstrated at various cookery schools and restaurant shows over the years.

“Thoughts for Food” classes are priced at £50 per person.
