New Restaurant Offers Honest Food In The Heart Of Padstow

A fresh new restaurant has opened in the heart of Padstow. Custard, a brand new diner, hosts 65 in a relaxed retro lounge style atmosphere. With Padstow’s eclectic mix of fish restaurants, pubs and a smattering of meditteranean cuisine, Custard offers a unique take on British dining.

Custard proprietor Vanessa Pinto believes that Padstow is in need of a new dining experience: “Fresh produce, simply cooked. There is nothing better. And you don’t have to travel far to get top-notch ingredients – it surrounds us in Padstow.”

Restaurant manager Carrina Mullan is so passionate about the new dining experience offered by Custard that she’s moved from Rick Stein’s Café to head up this exquisite new restaurant.

Rick Stein’s Seafood Restaurant chef, Dan Gedge has also been appointed Head Chef at Custard and is cooking up a veritable delight at the newest restaurant to adorn the Cornish coast.

Custard’s locally sourced food; a big nod towards decreasing food miles and a simple but mouth-watering menu offers this notion. Wines are sourced from Cornwall’s own Camel Valley Vineyards, as well as France, Italy and Spain.

Open all day and into the evening, Custard is the place to be whether it's just a coffee and a homemade cake or a tasty three-course dinner you are looking for.
