Burlesque event at belowzero belowzero restaurant and lounge is presenting an evening of Burlesque with Gwendoline Lamour on Wednesday 26th September. Gwendoline Lamour has been performing enchanting burlesque shows for seven glamorous years for clients such as Elton John, Cirque du Soleil for Naomi Campbell’s birthday party and Jasper Conran, among others.

Gwendoline’s lavish, elegant show features exquisite costumes and original pieces of burlesque theatre reflecting her love of performance and attention to detail.

The dances being performed are as follows:

Fan Dance

With her gorgeous 6ft wide ostrich feather fans, crystal encrusted costumes and exquisitely choreographed moves, Gwendoline brings the magic of Sally Rand and Faith Bacon to the modern age.

Venetian Boudoir

Beneath her authentic Venetian mask and cloak, Gwendoline wears a fabulous outfit of black and gold studded with 4,000 hand placed Swarovski crystals. She playfully disrobes before our eyes finishing with a tantalizing dance sur les demi-pointes with her giant, glitter filled powder puffs!

All guests will receive a complimentary sultry cocktail on arrival with Whitley Neill Gin and will then dine from a 3 course grazing style menu created by Head Chef Dimitry Rode whilst being entertained by Lamour.

The menu on the evening will be:

Starters

Salad of crispy tortilla, semi dried tomatoes, avocado, mango, aioli
Salt and pepper prawns, chilli, lime, coriander
Terrine of ham hock, pigeon, foie gras, home salted baby cucumbers

Mains

Baked pork fillet, whole lemon leaves, puy lentils, white onion foam
Lemon grass skewered market fish, wok fried vegetables, coriander butter
Shashlik of rosemary and garlic studded lamb chops
All served with pumpkin wedges, sage & truffle oil and green beans with shallots and garlic

Desserts

Vanilla panacotta, roasted white peaches, butterscotch drizzle
Martini of fresh berries, lemon curd, hot white chocolate sauce
Hazelnut chocolate tiramisu, praline hazelnuts, Bicerin liqueur, mascarpone mousse
