Fondue is back

6th November 2007 Print
Popular Soho brasserie The Club Bar & Dining is proud to announce the launch of ‘Fondue Mondays’ from 5th November. Chef and ‘Fondue Guru’, Rasheed Grant has created a stylish and contemporary take on this formerly seventies dish, taking it out of the ski resorts and into the 21st Century.

Fondue is the perfect warming dish as the nights grow longer and colder and the ideal way to brighten up a drab Monday evening. The Club will offer a classic cheese fondue of Gruyère and Emmental cheese served in a traditional stoneware bowl on top of a burner. A wooden board is served alongside the fondue groaning with crusty farmhouse bread, and a selection of al dente vegetables including cauliflower, broccoli, and carrots, as well as some perfectly pink slices of beef. Prices start at £15 for a cheese fondue for two people.

For those who just can’t get enough of fondue, why not follow the main course with a deliciously decadent chocolate fondue? The Club’s luxuriously dark chocolate fondue is served with strawberries, mandarin oranges and of course, marshmallows. Diners dip their fondue forks into the chocolate and coat the fruit in a thick layer of molten chocolate, a truly delicious and indulgent dessert. Chocolate fondue is extremely reasonably priced at £5 for two people, and a further £2.50 supplement for each extra person sharing.
