Introducing Waterloo Brasserie
Waterloo Brasserie (119 Waterloo Road, SE1 8UL) launches on Monday 3 December and is the second restaurant from the team behind the Cheyne Walk Brasserie in Chelsea. Waterloo Brasserie will offer an all day dining experience serving classic brasserie-style dishes from breakfast through to dinner.Group executive chef Frank Lebiez will oversee the menu alongside experienced head chef Eric Payet. True to its name, the menu will reflect the style of a French brasserie and dishes will include Egg white omelette with smoked salmon, Egg yolks cooked in their own shell topped with herby whipped cream and chunky chips for breakfast or brunch.
For lunch, enjoy Crispy Brie tatin with shallot confit, Pan-fried sea bass with Swiss chard and Parma ham and chicken jus; dinner will feature signature dishes such as Octopus civet with mashed potatoes and Confit duck leg with Waterloo Brasserie cassoulet. Alternatively diners can choose from any number of light dishes available throughout the day until 5pm, providing an ideal snack including Croque monsieur, Open Provencal baguettes and patisserie.
Lit with natural light from a window-lined wall looking out on The Old Vic Theatre, the rich colour scheme injects a welcoming and contemporary feel, while a 300-bin exposed working wine cellar will provide a stunning focus. Signature furniture pieces complement the long bar housing a stunning Elektra Belle Epoque coffee machine, the first in a central London brasserie.
Situated opposite Waterloo station and The Old Vic Theatre, Waterloo Brasserie will be an integral part of the regeneration of this burgeoning and historical part of London. Determined to be as cosmopolitan as its location, Waterloo Brasserie intends to echo the feel of the Manhattan Brasserie scene establishing itself as a place for everyone from city workers to tourists alike.
A private dining room for up to 70 guests and a private events space for informal canapés of up to 110 add another dimension to entertaining at the Waterloo Brasserie for both corporate and social occasions.
