Bohemia introduces the ultimate dining experience

In February 2008 Bohemia Bar & Restaurant is set to transform Jersey dining again with the introduction of a wonderful Chefs Table for six people in the heart of the kitchen and two new leather-walled private dining rooms.

The current restaurant capacity will increase by 40% and included in this will be a secluded area that can be closed off for private events.

Chefs Table
Bohemia is creating what is believed to be the first Chefs Table in the UK outside London. It will be located in the hub of the Michelin-starred kitchen and will overlook the main cooking area. Parties of up to six diners will be able to watch head chef, Shaun Rankin as he and his team prepare a sumptuous seven-course meal, developed especially for the table. Each dish will be served to customers by the chefs who have prepared the food.

Owner Lawrence Huggler said “This is a truly interactive dining experience where the guests not only get to enjoy some of the best food in the UK but also be part of the action where it’s created and feel the passion behind each dish.”

The Chefs Table is a concept adopted by a select number of leading restaurants around the world, including the renowned Pétrus in London.

Head Chef Shaun Rankin adds “Having seen the success of the chefs table at Charlie Trotters in Chicago where I trained, I am sure it will become one of the most requested tables.”

Bohemia closed for the refurbishment on 23rd December but will re-open during the first week of February with the new private rooms and Chefs table opening the following week.

Private Dining
In total three new private dining and event spaces will be created to satisfy the huge demand from both local and from overseas clients, for events at Bohemia Bar & Restaurant and The Club Hotel & Spa. The new private dining rooms will cater for parties from four to 50 for lunch or dinner and up to 120 for cocktails and will have a selection of menu options.
