A taste of the lakes in the heart of Knightsbridge

This September, during British Food Fortnight, diners at Harvey Nichols Fifth Floor Restaurant will have the opportunity to experience the charm and cuisine of Michelin-starred Sharrow Bay hotel, in the heart of Knightsbridge. For one week only customers will forgo their green wellies, Barbour jackets and travel to the Lake District to enjoy Sharrow Bay’s acclaimed menus, as their chef’s move into the Harvey Nichols kitchens in the heart of London.

This collaboration coincides with the Fifth Floor Restaurant celebrating sixteen years as one of London’s leading destination restaurants and Sharrow Bay celebrating its 60th anniversary as the founding British member of Relais & Châteaux and a leading country house hotel.

Starting on Thursday 25 September and running until Thursday 2 October (inclusive), Head Chefs Colin Akrigg and Mark Teasdale will be joining Fifth Floor Executive Chef Jonas Karlsson in the Harvey Nichols kitchens. Using the best of Cumbrian produce they will display their own distinctive style of cooking through a range of menus especially created for the occasion.

The Sharrow Bay chefs have created a special six-course tasting dinner menu for the Fifth Floor Restaurant, which features a selection of their signature dishes, including their world famous sticky toffee pudding (which will also be available to purchase in Harvey Nichols Foodmarkets nationwide). The tasting menu is priced at £55. A vegetarian tasting menu will also be available, while the Sharrow Bay Market Menu will be available during lunchtime, priced at £19.50 for two courses and £24.50 for three.

To make the experience complete, Nicolas Chieze, Sharrow Bay’s award winning sommelier, will be working with the Harvey Nichols team of sommeliers and wine buyers to select accompanying wines from the list at the Fifth Floor Restaurant.

Jonas Karlsson, Fifth Floor Executive Chef will be working in tandem with his guest chefs to produce an à la carte menu that complements the Sharrow Bay offering.
