A truly Indian summer

9th July 2008 Print
Acclaimed food writer and broadcaster Mridula Baljekar has devised a fabulous summer menu for London’s Atithi restaurant. An Indian summer conjures up images of blue skies, long lazy sunny days, the hauntingly delicate scent of fresh flowers, market stalls with their colourful displays …and spicy food with cooling accompaniments!

Go and enjoy the sunshine food on offer in Atithi, where they are trying to dispel the general belief that Indian food is meant only for the cooler climate. Enjoy a leisurely lunch or dinner in the comfort of the air-conditioned restaurant. Atithi staff will entice you with such delights as Prawn and Papaya Salad with lemon and coriander dressing, Chicken in Orange Juice, Chickpeas with Sun-dried Mango and their fabulous range of tandoori dishes with specially created salads for the season.

Wash it down with a chilled glass of white wine or cooling lassi with seasonal fruit flavours. To finish your light and refreshing summer meal, tuck into chilled Alphonso mango or watermelon and mango dessert with vanilla ice cream.

Available from Friday 11 July until Sunday 31 August.

Atithi is located at 418B-422 Watford Way, Mill Hill, London NW7 2QJ.
