Signor Zilli goes back to the Eighties

10th September 2008 Print
Signor Zilli goes back to the Eighties Signor Zilli will celebrate its twenty years as a Soho institution by offering an eighties style menu at eighties prices for one week only between 15th September - 20th September.

Aldo Zilli has fond memories of the eighties, having regular customers such as the late, great Freddy Mercury and Eurhythmics star Annie Lennox. The celebrated chef has consequently devised a perfectly themed and unbelievable reasonable menu offering two courses for £6 and three course for £9.80.

Eighties-style starters include Classic Prawn Cocktail and Mixed Crostini. Diners will then have the choice between Conchiglie alla Salsicccia (Italian style sausage with tomato and basil pasta) - which was Prince Edward’s favourite dish at Signor Zilli when it first opened in the eighties, or a classic homemade Chicken Kiev. Puddings are also nostalgic for the era of shoulder pads and power lunches and include Zuppa Inglese (Sherry trifle) and Zabaglione.

Dig out your legwarmers and head down to Signor Zilli! Booking is advisable to avoid disappointment.

Signor Zilli, 40-41 Deanr Street, London, W1
