A special pizza art

A special pizza art To commemorate Pizza Hut’s name change to ‘Pasta Hut’, food artist Prudence Emma Staite has put ‘penne to paper’ and created a modern twist on another Italian classic by reproducing ‘The Mona Lisagne.’ From October 7th, one of the world’s most well known and loved brands undergoes a change of identity. After 50 years as the nation’s leading pizza restaurant, Pizza Hut is renaming itself Pasta Hut.

The momentous decision to rebrand the iconic stores has been taken to celebrate the introduction of the new range of 12 Tuscani pastas, in addition to the traditional pizza line-up.

The big change begins today, as Pizza Hut starts the process of taking down some of the famous signs and replacing them with its new Pasta Hut insignia.

Pasta Hut CEO Alasdair Murdoch explains; “Pizza Hut has decades of success and over the last 50 years has constantly evolved to meet the challenging demands of generations of families. We feel changing our name to Pasta Hut is the best way to demonstrate just how committed we are to our improved restaurants and new pasta menu.

“Over the past year alone £17 million has been invested into our restaurants in order to reach this point. The popular salad bar has been upgraded and improvements have been made to the nutrition, range and the quality of ingredients in all of our pizzas and pastas, as well as a decrease in salt and saturated fat across the range.”

Events will be taking place nationwide to unveil the new look restaurants and to celebrate this exciting time for Pizza Hut.

The name change will take place for a trial period and customers are invited to offer their thoughts and feedback on the new name and menu at Pastahut.co.uk.
