Italian spirit hits Wokingham

Choose from a range of delicious dishes from the main or carne menu, including starters such as Crostini Formaggio Di Capra, an oven baked goat’s cheese with caramelised balsamic onions on a ciabatta bread. Main courses including Seabass Pacchetto, a whole Seabass with olives, tomatoes, herbs and lemon, baked in foil and opened at your table and desserts such as Torte Zizzi a warm plum, almond, fig and pistachio tart with vanilla ice cream complete the menu – buon appetito!
The selection of food is complemented by an inviting choice of Italian wines, chosen by Adrian Garforth, Master of Wine. From Trebbiano to Fiano Settesoli to Primitivo and Chianti, there is a wine and price to suit all tastes. The list includes little gems such as Pinot Grigio Marat, made from a single grape harvest where the grapes are picked at night to conserve more of the delicate fruit flavours and complexity which characterise the wine.
The stylish interior has been designed to reflect the high-quality menu and is an eye-catching addition to the High Street, raising the standard of cuisine available. Comfortable, elegant tables and seating create a light and relaxing ambiance. A ‘Chef’s Table’ has been created in front of the open plan kitchen, which invites diners in to the heart of the action to watch how the culinary delights are created.
Andy Dwyer, Manager for Zizzi Ristorante Wokingham, comments, “We are in a fabulous location and have a menu to delight shoppers and local residents who are looking to enjoy the real taste of Italian food and drink.”
