Barford pub shortlisted for prestigious award

In 2008 The Granville @ Barford was commended in the same category and in 2007 won two awards for ‘Best Restaurant’ and ‘Champion of Local Produce’. The Granville will find out whether it has won for a third year at an Awards Ceremony and Dinner at the Ardencote Manor Hotel on Monday 21 September.
The popular awards scheme continues to champion and reward quality, excellence and the innovative use of local produce and to encourage those within the region to source their supplies locally. Despite the current economic climate, the number of entries submitted this year has been extremely high and competition is fiercer than ever. The Granville will now receive an anonymous visit by the judging panel of industry experts.
Val Kersey, Proprietor, stated “It is a wonderful honour for The Granville to be shortlisted and is testament to the on-going hard work and dedication of my team in maintaining The Granville’s reputation as one of the region’s most popular dining pubs. Winning an award for the third year would be a fantastic acknowledgment and recognition of the Granville’s continued success.”
