Costa de la Luz finally gets the bargain bug

Andrew Benitz, Director of Titan Properties, specialists in Costa de la Luz’s western Huelva province, comments, “This sheltered Atlantic-facing coastline has been a long-standing favourite with discerning natives in search of a sophisticated summer destination and several wealthy entrepreneurs from Spain’s industrial north have offered their expertise to building luxurious residential resorts. On the natural island of Isla Canela adjacent to the mouth of the River Guadiana which separates Spain from Portugal, Titan Properties is able to pass on discounts on several completed developments - so investors know their investment is safe in bricks and mortar. We have one bedroom frontline beach apartments for just 157,000 euros down from 215,000 euros, and golf-front examples for 99,000 euros down from 151,000 euros – these are discounts of up to 40%.”
Covering 1,760 hectares with 7km of wide sandy beach, Isla Canela has an 18-hole golf course with challenging drives across the meandering streams, a 231-berth marina expected to extend to 800, restaurants, bars, shops and every conceivable outdoor sporting activity from football to bowling. Las Palmeras comprises frontline beach one, two and three bedroom apartments and penthouses each with a fully fitted kitchen, double glazing, community satellite television and aluminium security shutter-blinds in the lounge and bedrooms. Communal facilities include several swimming pools set in landscaped gardens plus padel tennis courts. Prices start from 157,000 euros. Meanwhile, Las Marismas offers the same facilities and characteristics but in a golf location still less than 15 minutes walk from the beach. Prices here start from 99,000 euros.
Skipping some 50km east to the golf resort of Nuevo Portil and there’s a discount package of a massive 22,000 euros available on three bedroom townhouses. Set in an idyllic location interspersed with natural pine forests and overlooking 21km of golden sandy beaches, Nuevo Portil has an 18-hole golf course and a popular colonial style four-star spa, the Hotel AC Portil. The ‘Hoyo 14’ townhouses arranged over three floors benefit from a small private garden, two communal swimming pools, three tennis/paddle courts, underground parking and storage facilities.
The current offer on ‘Hoyo 14’ exclusively through Titan Properties is an instant 3,000 euro discount, 6,000 euros cash or a complete furnishing package, a free 7,000 euros-worth of kitchen and 6,000 euros off the optional parking and storage. That’s a total discount of 22,000 euros. But it doesn’t stop there; the developer will also throw in two years free golf membership for two people. Prices here now start from 227,000 euros to reflect the discount package and completion is expected for April 2009.
