Mar Menor Best Golf is the original 9-hole classic par 36 course designed by Nicklaus Design. The course is currently being revised evolving into a medium length regulation course of 18 holes. The new revised course will feature large simply shaped bunkers that meander through the resort setting up the strategy of numerous holes. A lush landscape of palms, native grasses and flowering shrubs will help to define and enhance the golf course making it a wonderful experience for amateur and seasoned pro alike.

El Valle Best Golf is another Nicklaus Design classic 18 holes in length and par 71. The course features many ‘crowned’ greens surrounded by large mowed chipping areas. This design feature presents players with numerous interesting short-game options around the greens and imaginative shot-making will be rewarded. Additionally, El Valle Golf Resort is visually very different from La Torre Golf Resort. El Valle Golf Resort features clusters of smaller, more subtly shaped bunkers. Moreover, El Valle Golf Resort takes full advantage of its desert setting with numerous holes playing adjacent to naturally existing rock-outcroppings and ridges.

Finally Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort based round a former royal Hacienda complete with a beautiful lake features wider-than-average fairways, boldly contoured greens and large dramatic bunkers. In an interesting contrast to the other Nicklaus Golf Trail courses, Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort’s playing surfaces have been grassed with the latest paspalum varieties, decreasing the need for large amounts of fresh water.
