Talk is cheap. It’s incredibly easy to say “rental returns will be high” but difficult to deliver. The resort also offers owners a guaranteed investment yield of 5%, but I plan to choose the alternative, a 50% share of the guest revenues generated by my units, which I think will amount to more each year.”

So will Gilles be spending more time in Brazil now he has a stake in the country? “Well, having been there on ‘business’, I certainly now plan to go on holiday!” says Gilles.
