New village living offers more for your money

Upon visiting Great Easthall in Sittingbourne – a new take on village life by Countryside Properties and Trenport Investments – they discovered a home which offered much more for their money, whilst also keeping them in reach of nearby towns and the bright lights of London.
Set close to 18 acres of open public space Lee and James’ new home achieved all their requirements.
“We had a long list of ‘must haves’ for our new home. It had to be spacious with its own good sized garden, but also within reach of good transport links to London and we were very pleased with how far our money went,” says Lee who works at John Lewis in Central London and commutes each day. “Our home is great for entertaining and we are thoroughly looking forward to making full use of our garden during the warmer months.”
Lee and James were the first to move in at Fenacres, the first phase of development at Great Easthall. In total 800 new homes are planned for this brand new community offering a wide selection of two bedroom apartments and two, three and four bedroom houses with a charming village pond.
“The layout of both our home and the development as a whole has been very well thought through,” Lee continued. ”You get the best of both worlds really; living in quiet countryside setting, whilst also being only a few minutes from the town centre and just over an hour from London. Bluewater is just a 30 minute drive away too.”
Lying in the borough of Swale, which stretches as far as Faversham, Sittingbourne has recently seen increased commercial and retail investment. Also, as part of the Swale Forward regeneration programme the local council is looking at eco-tourism and further education projects for the area, which will see continued growing strength in property prices.
“The regeneration planned for the area was also an added incentive for our purchase,” says Lee. “The changes we’ll see both in and around Sittingbourne over the next five years will hopefully make our new home a very good investment.”
All of the homes at Great Easthall have been carefully designed and enjoy high levels of specification. Depending on the stage of construction, purchasers can choose the style of their fully fitted kitchen, some with integrated appliances. All contemporary bathrooms feature sleek modern sanitaryware with chrome finishing touches.
Sittingbourne mainline rail station offers frequent peak time service to London Victoria of just over an hour. Great Easthall is located to the north east of Sittingbourne town centre and has easy access to the A2 and M2.
Prices for the properties at Great Easthall start from £166,950 for a two-bedroom house to £270,000 for a 1,300 sq. ft. four bedroom home. The show home and marketing suite are open daily from 10.30am to 5.30pm.
