Berkeley Homes takes part in Kent’s Future Live exhibition

Visitors to the show were given the opportunity to learn more about exciting new regeneration projects including Holborough, situated on the outskirts of Snodland, and Kingsbrook Park in Canterbury, as well as understanding how Berkeley Homes has established its reputation as one of the industry leaders in sustainability.
Holborough, which is located to the north of the town of Snodland, is a striking ‘New England’ inspired development set around attractive landscaping and water features. The scheme comprises a mix of 1 & 2 bedroom apartments and 2, 3, 4 & 5 bedroom houses featuring distinctive weatherboarded exteriors and a highly contemporary internal specification.
Another distinctive feature of this popular development is the use of Super E Technology, a new Canadian Government backed building initiative, which promotes energy efficiency and a healthier living environment. The benefits of this new initiative include controlled ventilation for fresher, healthier air (a real plus for asthma and allergy sufferers) and advanced wall technology for improved insulation, which helps to lower energy bills.
Holborough is well located for commuters with local, national and international rail connections available from nearby Snodland, West Malling and Ashford stations. A new Channel Tunnel Rail Link station under construction at nearby Ebbsfleet will make getting around even easier. Once complete, it is estimated that the journey time into London will be reduced to approximately 15 minutes whilst trips to Paris and Brussels are anticipated to take approximately two hours 20 mins and two hours respectively.
Kingsbrook Park, a striking new riverside development coming soon to Canterbury, comprises a mix of 1, 2 & 3 bedroom apartments and 3 and 4 bedroom homes. Located to the north of the City of Canterbury and bordered on three sides by the River Stour, this landmark scheme will boast multi aspect river views as well as views of the City’s historic cathedral.
One of the principal objectives of Kingsbrook Park is to create an attractive, high quality urban environment, which respects its natural environment and incorporates open spaces for the enjoyment of residents and the wider community.
In response to the council’s bid to reduce the city’s dependence on the car, Kingsbrook Park will also provide new links between the site and surrounding area as well as to provide access to the nearby public transport network and enhance existing cycleway and footpaths.
Angela Plant, Marketing Manager for Berkeley Homes (Kent) Ltd commented:
“The Kent’s Future exhibition provided an excellent insight into the many changes happening across the country and the opportunities these changes will provide the general public and local businesses. We were delighted to be given the opportunity to demonstrate how Berkeley Homes are contributing to improvements across the region by showcasing both Holborough and Kingsbrook Park, two of our key regeneration projects”.
