Pack away your dusters with Berkeley Homes

Pack away your dusters with Berkeley Homes There aren’t many people who enjoy housework and dusting has to be one of the worst chores. However, there is a growing band of residents at Berkeley Homes (Kent) Ltd’s Holborough development who are finding the amount of housework they are doing has dramatically reduced.

Once such resident is Alison Libby, who lives at the development with her partner. Alison, who has bought a two-bedroom apartment in the current Birchleigh phase, is enjoying an easier life when it comes to cleaning thanks to a revolutionary Super E technology from Canada. The technology has many benefits but it is the air filtration aspect that is reducing the amount of dust in Holborough’s properties.

Alison is quick to comment: “I’ve noticed that the dust doesn’t settle very much in my new apartment, especially compared to my previous place in London. The Super E technology makes the apartment extremely easy to keep clean.”

As well as trapping dust before it enters the home, the Super E filtration system also captures pollen and other irritating particles before they enter the homes’ atmosphere. This is a bonus for those suffering from hay fever, asthma and skin allergies. Alison has also noticed a different quality to the air inside her apartment: “The atmosphere does feel very fresh as clean air is always being drawn into the apartment.”

As well as an air filtration system, Super E technology works on improving a home’s insulation. The technology means that every Holborough property is a ‘sealed environment’; meaning air can’t escape through holes in windows and doors, or via the roof. As a result, warm air isn’t leaking out and occupiers don’t have to rely heavily on their central heating to warm the home - a point that Alison has discovered:

“We’ve found our Lexington apartment is extremely well-insulated and there isn’t much of a draught. We’ve barely had to use the radiators. In fact, the heat from our two heated towel rails is often enough to warm the whole apartment. Our home always feels cosy and we’re very happy living at Holborough.”

In fact, Super E technology has proved so popular with buyers that Berkeley Homes (Kent) Ltd has become the world’s largest house builder of Super E timber frame homes.

Alison and her partner purchased a ‘Lexington’ two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment at Berkeley’s New England-inspired Kentish scheme, which is close to the new Ebbsfleet International train station.

Alison adds: “We were very impressed with Holborough as a development. We liked the architectural style of the housing, both from the outside and inside. The fact that the buildings look different from each other is a big plus point and this makes it stand out from other new build developments.”

The one- and two- bedroom ‘Lexington’ apartments are divided over four buildings and offer a high specification that belies their entry-level price. The contemporary-style fitted kitchens feature Bosch ovens, hobs and extractor fans, as well as Bosch integrated fridge/freezers. Bathrooms feature low-maintenance wall tiling, white suites, stylish chrome fittings and heated towel rails. Behind the scenes, the apartments are wired for Sky+, Sky HD and broadband, with an audio entry door system for security.

The Birchleigh phase also features three-bedroom houses priced from £249,000, four-bedroom properties from £389,950 and five-bedroom homes from £430,000.
