Simon Wright Homes defies property market gloom

Despite the very difficult market conditions, niche Kent developer, Simon Wright Homes, sold several new homes in December, a traditionally slow time for sales. It sold two five-bedroom detached homes at Spires, a new development in Hoo St Werburgh, as well as a four bedroom detached house at Meriden Heights in East Farleigh, all of which sold to people who managed to complete their chains.

Sales and marketing director, Janet Burnell, comments: “Buyers are becoming a lot more discerning, and it’s not only price that matters, but product. We pride ourselves on providing top quality specification and include it in the overall price of the home. We don’t think people should pay extra to upgrade from vinyl flooring to ceramic tiles, for example. So when it comes to fixtures and fittings, our homes are much better value for money than some of our competitors new homes, or second-hand properties. Our homes are priced in-line with current market conditions, which ultimately means that even in this market, we can sell.”

Spires is a private, gated development comprising a total of just 25 new homes designed to reflect their Kent village setting. Each property has spacious living accommodation in a variety of different layouts. Inside, kitchens are fitted with AEG appliances including an integrated electric oven, gas hob, fridge / freezer, dishwasher and microwave. Customers can select their desired finish from a choice of units, ceramic kitchen flooring and work tops from Paula Rosa. Bathrooms include white sanitary ware and a choice of Porcelanosa ceramic wall tiles.

The development has proven popular, with 75% now sold. There is currently a selection of three and four bedroom homes available with prices ranging from £219,950 to £330,000.

Meriden Heights is a development of just six luxurious four and five bedroom homes in the sought-after village of East Farleigh, Kent. Each property offers spacious, flexible accommodation, finished using superior materials to give a high quality feel. Kitchens include an AEG electric double oven, five ring gas hob, microwave, fridge / freezer and washing machine. Bathrooms, ensuites and cloakrooms include white Ideal Standard sanitary ware and a choice of ceramic wall tiles. Only two five-bedroom homes remain at Meriden Heights, priced from £470,000.
