Ward Homes starts work in Snodland

Ward Homes starts work in Snodland Kent developer Ward Homes has recently completed the purchase of a 3.6 acre plot of land in Snodland, between Leybourne and Rochester, and secured planning permission to build 44 new homes. Preparatory work on the site, which was formerly the sports ground for a local paper mill, has already begun with a view to starting construction in spring 2009.

The development, named Pavilion Place, will comprise 44 two, three and four-bedroom houses, of which 13 will be offered as affordable homes. Guide prices are expected to start in the region of £190,000.

Nick Fenton, Managing Director for Ward Homes, comments: “We are delighted to have secured a site in such an excellent position, close to the town centre and station. Despite the recession, good value homes in great locations continue to sell well and we are anticipating a high amount of interest.”

As part of its commitment to the local community, Ward Homes is to create a new sports facility adjacent to the current facilities at Potyns Field, off Paddlesworth Road in Snodland.
