Couple part-ex to new home that ticks all their boxes

With a large garden, a garage and additional space to suit their lifestyle as a couple, Helen and Ben, both 25, love their new three-bedroom townhouse and plan to live there for years to come.
“After we got together, we were spending more and more time living at my flat in Sittingbourne, and so Ben sold his place in Maidstone to save us having to pay for both,” explains Helen.
“We then decided to look for a home with more space, and having both lived in flats we particularly wanted a garage and a garden.”
The couple popped in to Kemsley Fields and found out that they could part-exchanged Helen’s flat for a three-bedroom ‘Aston’ townhouse. In a quiet cul-de-sac on the end of a terrace of three, their new home benefits from an integral garage and the large garden they were looking for, which they plan to turn into a tropical plant paradise to enjoy in summer.
“Part-exchange worked out really well for us because the market had slowed – in fact, my flat was still up for sale at the end of the year,” adds Helen. “If we had tried to sell it ourselves we probably wouldn’t have moved yet!
“We also really like the fact our house looks out onto fields at the back, and that it’s in a peaceful location.”
Helen and Ben, who work locally for the Civil Service, chose the finishing touches to their home, which Bryant installed before they moved in, including stylish black and white flooring, tiles and units in the kitchen/dining room, and contemporary neutrals in their two cloakrooms and two bathrooms.
In addition to the ground floor kitchen/dining room, which has French doors to the garden, the ‘Aston’ they chose features an integral garage and a cloakroom off the entrance hallway.
Upstairs, the landing leads to a large reception room with Juliet balcony, a third bedroom/study and a cloakroom. Two double bedrooms – one with en-suite – and a main bathroom can be found on the top floor.
“It’s a home that has everything we wanted,” says Helen. “We plan to stay here for a good 10 or more years!”
House-hunters can currently choose from a range of properties at Kemsley Fields, including three-bedroom homes from £159,995 and four-bedrooms starting at £199,995. Two-bedroom apartments are also available, from £119,995.
All new homes at the development benefit from a high standard specification including central heating, double glazing and a fully fitted kitchen with built-in oven, hob and hood.
Bryant Homes offers tailor-made incentives on selected homes to suit all customers, including its Market Mover scheme, which cuts out hidden costs – and the hassle – of moving.
Under the scheme, Bryant pays the legal fees, stamp duty and removal costs, and helps those with a property to sell to make a quick and easy move. In addition, first-time buyers can receive assistance with their deposit and fees.
Conveniently located just a five-minute walk from Kemsley Railway Station, Kemsley Fields offers homebuyers a location with an abundance of local attractions and leisure opportunities.
Sittingbourne, which is just four miles away, offers a good selection of major high street stores, plus a weekly market and plenty of parking. Slightly further afield, Faversham, Maidstone and the Medway towns of Chatham, Gillingham and Rochester add a huge range of shops, sports and leisure pursuits.
Children are well served by Kemsley Primary School, which is within half a mile of the development, and secondary and sixth forms within three miles.
There’s also access to the A2, the M2 and M20 and regular services from Kemsley station to London Victoria and Gatwick airport.
