Millwood invests in education

As part of its commitment to the community in which it builds, award-winning Tonbridge based housebuilder Millwood Designer Homes has introduced a schools ‘Encouragement Pack’ that is designed to foster ambition and reward academic achievement. As such the company has just presented the award to Hannah Eastwell who won the Millwood Designer Homes Prize for Creativity at Hillview School for Girls in Tonbridge, Kent.

Hannah has gone on to study A-levels at the school and has continued to study Art. The Head Master of Hillview School, Mr Stephanie Bovey, commented; “Hannah has shown a high level of commitment to constant improvement and completion of all aspects of her work, and is always willing to try new things. Her design ideas are innovative and exciting, and her high-level making skills show precision and attention to detail."

Philip Brown, Sales & Marketing Director of Millwood Designer Homes, was invited to come up on stage to present Hannah with her award at the recent Hillview School Presentation Ceremony in Tonbridge: “This is the first year that we have worked with Hillview School, we were keen to set up the programme to reward achievement in local schools close to our new homes developments and our Head Office. Hannah is a worthy winner of our prestigious Prize for Creativity and a £100 prize.” says Philip Brown.

Philip continues: “We will be rolling out the Encouragement Pack across the county to other schools including King Ethelberts School in Westgate-on-Sea, The Judd School in Tonbridge and Skinners Grammar School in Tunbridge Wells. We are delighted to be able to offer something to the schools and to their pupils who will hopefully be inspired to work harder to achieve their goals and win the respective annual Millwood prize.”

Hillview School is located close to Ridgewood View comprises just two, detached imposing residences that feature traditional façades and have been designed in the style for which Millwood is renowned.
