Construction begins at Halstead Place, Sevenoaks

The development will include three, four, five and six bedroom semi detached and detached houses, all with private gardens.
Halstead Place will regenerate a derelict site on the edge of Halstead village which currently has a Grade II Listed Stable Block and Coach House in addition to a gate lodge; all of which are being sensitively converted to provide four unique contemporary homes.
Historical features within the site, such as an ancient monument and walled garden, will also be restored. Extensive areas of open space, including a circular lawn and two former playing fields, will be landscaped to provide areas where residents can play sports, have picnics or simply relax.
Nick Fenton, Managing Director for Ward Homes, said: “Given the historical importance of the site, it has taken careful planning to get to this stage and we are delighted to have started work on Halstead Place. We have worked closely with local residents throughout the planning process to ensure the new scheme meets the needs and aspirations of the local community.
“The high quality and unique character of both the new and refurbished homes together with its beautiful location makes Halstead Place a very special development indeed. Since we announced the scheme we have already received an extremely high number of enquiries.”
