New homes with fully grown gardens

New homes with fully grown gardens A recent survey showing that having a garden has topped the list of criteria for people buying a new home, confirms a growing trend for developers to provide landscaped gardens that come complete with paths, trees and shrubs, says Red Admiral Homes.

The YouGov survey for The New Homes Marketing Board showed that more than half of buyers of new homes consider a garden the most important factor. This backs up the findings from Red Admiral Homes’ own research of potential buyers, the majority of whom voted for smaller scale developments with family-sized gardens featuring fully grown trees and shrubs that merge with the surrounding, established neighbourhood.

Martyn Sellick, Director of Red Admiral Homes, comments:

“Families have limited time to spend on creating their own outside space, especially when moving home. They want the garden to be of the same high standard as the interior and to be able to start enjoying it from day one. Complementing existing trees and shrubbery with low maintenance plants, paths and fencing that can be adapted by the new owner over time, provides a ready made backdrop whatever time of the year they move in.”

Red Admiral Homes has launched The Laurels – a bespoke development of just three four bedroom detached homes in a wooded location at Lower Robin Hood Lane in Walderslade, offering London style living in a suburban setting. Each property has an ample bonded gravel driveway with parking for two cars to the front and rear and gardens of at least 80ft laid to lawn and edged with shrubs and fully grown trees.

Ample living space is a key feature of these architect-designed homes with a large family room to the front and spacious lounge to the rear with glazed French doors to the slate patio and garden laid to lawn. The 21ft kitchen/dining room features a Schmidt walnut veneer kitchen, Silestone work surface, Porcelanosa floor tiles, Siemens appliances and a state-of-the-art drop down television with DVD player. Each family sized home has been designed with a separate utility room and cloakroom and under floor heating to the ground floor and all bathrooms.

Upstairs, four double bedrooms and the family bathroom lead from a spacious upper landing. The master bedroom includes a fully fitted en-suite. A Megaflow hot water system has been installed providing excellent pressure to all baths and showers.

Ideally place for commuters to London and Kent, Chatham mainline station has fast services to the city in 40 minutes. Nearby Ebbsfleet International now has trains to St Pancras in just 17 minutes and Eurostar rail links to Paris, Lille and Brussels. There is a good selection of primary and secondary schools including sought-after grammar schools. Bluewater Shopping Centre is a short drive away as is the M2 and M20 for fast road access to the coast and south east London.

Properties at The Laurels are priced at £414,995 each and part-exchange is available subject to conditions. For further details see readmiralhomes.com.
