Spacious family homes at affordable prices in Barham Is your current family home bursting at the seams? Are the kids arguing all the time as they’re getting too old to be sharing a bedroom, but you just don’t have the space to expand?

If this sounds all too familiar then your prayers have been answered as Persimmon Homes Anglia has a range of affordable homes to suit you at its Woodlands development in Barham, near Ipswich.

Jon Gibbs, sales director at Persimmon Homes Anglia, explains: “At Persimmon we understand the frustration many families currently face, they are out growing their existing home and some may possibly have trouble selling their own property, or you could feel trapped in rented accommodation as they haven’t the means to save for a deposit. It’s for this reason that we are offering our Assisted Move or HomeBuy Direct schemes at Woodlands.”

Through Assisted Move Persimmon will aim to help purchasers by finding and appointing an independent estate agent, advise them on the valuations and what price to market their property at, and reserve the purchaser’s chosen property while their existing property is sold. What’s more Persimmon also pay the estate agent’s, HIPs pack and their removal costs, making the process that much more cost effective.

HomeBuy Direct is available to those earning a household income of less than £60,000. Through the initiative, purchasers will be required to raise funding for 70 per cent of the purchase price including a mortgage plus any small deposit, although this isn’t a requirement. The remaining 30 per cent is made up by an equity loan, interest free for five years, which is co-funded by the Government and Persimmon Homes.

Currently available at Woodlands are a number of four and five bedroom properties, priced from £235,500 or £164,850 through HomeBuy Direct, which have been designed to suit the modern family, with plenty of reception rooms for socialising, whilst also incorporating areas where residents can escape the hustle and bustle of family life.

Jon concludes: “Assisted Move and HomeBuy Direct are a great way for househunters to move into their dream home sooner rather than later. It also removes the stresses and financial pressures involved, meaning you can concentrate on enjoying being in your new pad from day one.”

Woodlands is being constructed among areas of open space and mature forest, making it a pleasant and peaceful place to call home.

The development is situated close to open countryside on the outskirts of Barham. The village centre hosts local amenities including a post office, newsagents, convenience store and a traditional English butcher, while a larger supermarket is just over three miles away. Good local schools are also found just two miles from the development.

Ipswich itself includes all the necessary facilities expected of a modern town and more, with local and high street shops, evening entertainment and a plethora of restaurants and cafés.

Commuters will be pleased to note that Needham Market train station is two and half miles away, with regular trains running to Ipswich. The mainline station offers a direct link to London’s Liverpool Street Station in under an hour.
