Easter eggstravaganza at Southcroft Meadows

12th April 2007 Print
Easter Community sprit and chocolate eggs galore was the theme at Miller Homes’ Southcroft Meadows development in Epworth. Over 30 children gathered at Bev Hancock’s property opposite the play area for the start of the epic Easter egg trail around the development.

Diane Lanni, Miller Homes’ sales adviser at Southcroft Meadows said: “There is such a community spirit on this development it would have been a shame to pass Easter by with nothing for the children.

“Bev is a fantastic neighbour and a really good organiser, she managed to get her friends and other neighbours on the development involved so all the children had a chance to meet others from around the site not just next door.”

The trail involved clues, placed in the gardens of certain houses, which led to a chocolaty surprise. The decorated houses included humpty–dumpty guarding a tray of sweets, Old Mother Hubbard taking in the delights of the first spring sun and a nursery rhyme house that played music every time a child visited. There was also an Easter bonnet competition, judged by assistant site manager Tim Thompson.

Tim said: “The children had put so much effort into their bonnets I had a real job judging the winners. It’s great to see the kids on the development getting together and also using the playground which as been a real success with the residents.”

Southcroft Meadows is a fantastic development boasting luxurious houses, wonderful views and a great community spirit. Properties here range from three bedroom townhouses from just £148,000, four bedroom detached homes from £215,000 and luxurious five bedroom houses at £250,000. All properties include those helpful extras such as carpets or laminate flooring throughout, stainless steel oven, hob and extractor and rear turfed lawn.

Southcroft Meadows enjoys an exquisite countryside setting in a self-contained market town that has a broad range of shops, pubs and eating places and is served by popular local schools. It also has convenient transport links with the M180 nearby and is around 13 miles from Scunthorpe and less than 20 miles from Doncaster.
