Lord mayor welcomes George Wimpey back to Sheffield
George Wimpey South Yorkshire’s move to Sheffield will be sealed at the official opening of its new regional headquarters in Sheffield Business Park tomorrow (Thursday 19 April, 2007) by The Lord Mayor (Councillor Jackie Drayton).George Wimpey South Yorkshire’s new headquarters are a purpose-built 8,600 sq ft unit on Sheffield Business Park’s new Europa Green complex, providing an exceptional central base from which to strategically manage the business.
The company operates over South Yorkshire and the East Riding as well as parts of North Lincolnshire and North Derbyshire. It aims to build 550 homes per year and has new developments planned in Sheffield, Chesterfield, Rotherham and Blackwell near Alfreton.

The Lord Mayor (Councillor Jackie Drayton) will unveil a commemorative plaque at the new George Wimpey South Yorkshire offices.
