New homes for lifestyle conscious young professionals A high-class £20m apartment development within sight of Sheffield’s premier University is priced to bring city living within reach of first-time buyers and young professionals.

Atlantic 1, situated by Brook Hill roundabout in striking distance of the University of Sheffield’s city campus and just a short walk from the city’s West Street and Division Street retail and leisure facilities, provides 190 flats and apartments to feed local demand for first time buyers.

The state-of-the-art city living development is a sure step towards bringing investment costs into line with rent prices for city centre property. Key to the development is a superb fitness facility for tenants, which includes a fully fitted gym and a swimming pool housed within the complex.

Priya Pannu, sales manager for Knight Frank’s Northern residential development, said: “Atlantic 1 provides affordable city living and outstanding opportunity for first time buyers to make a property investment in a highly desirable location and with unparalleled facilities.”

The Sheffield office of Knight Frank LLP has already sold 50 units, out of an available 130 and the project’s launch will feature substantial signage viewable from the Netherthorpe Road and a dedicated website. All of the apartments have been finished and with a dedicated marketing suite on site, prospective tenants can view the unit which appeals to them the most.

Priya added: “The apartments are the ideal starting block for first time home-buyers who want to embrace city living without paying a premium for the privilege. Very few developments of this kind feature the superb fitness facilities of Atlantic 1 and the units have been finished to a very high standard.

“Atlantic 1 is actually placed on the edge of the city’s most popular area, the Devonshire Quarter and is also carefully priced for first-time buyers.”

Prices for the high specification units start at £72,820 for a studio, with two bed units starting at £137,320.

The apartments provide panoramic views across the Upper Don Valley as well as being close to a tram stop giving access to Meadowhall and entertainment complexes in the Don Valley. Atlantic 1 forms a key part of the St Vincent’s Quarter, within the city’s inner ring road.

Tearle Phelan, head of Knight Frank residential development in Sheffield, added: “Atlantic 1 is a major high-class regeneration of the St Vincent’s Quarter. There are not many locations with this potential that remain undeveloped and much of the city’s current development is moving along arterial routes away from the city centre.”
