Sheffield waterfront offices boast style and location

Once headquarters of Victoria Quays, previously Sheffield Canal Basin, Wharf House, a grade two listed building, underwent a major renovation in 1992, as part of the redevelopment of the Quay, but retained the original sash windows and vaulted ceilings to maintain its Georgian heritage.
The detached three-storey period building has 3,564 sq ft (331 sq m) of modern, high quality space, with a mixture of individual offices and larger open plan office spaces with good natural light.
Tim Bottrill, partner at the Sheffield office of Knight Frank, agents for Wharf House, said: “This office complex is a real showcase development for stylish office space.
“The property is truly unique. Not only does it possess historical features but it is also situated within the city’s premier waterside mixed use development scheme, it is located very close to the city centre, including the Supertram, and has on-site parking – all of these attributes are highly sought after by modern businesses.”
Victoria Quays already hosts a range of shops, hotels, cafés and restaurants, and there are plans to continue developing the area and increase its footfall in the coming years.
The development is a key part of the Sheffield City Centre Master Plan to integrate the waterfront area into an upcoming pedestrian leisure destination. The plans propose a walkway connecting Fargate and Victoria Quays through the city centre.
Peter Beard, former director of Monaghans quantity surveyors, who were previously based at Wharf House, said: “The offices are ideally situated and because of the quality and location, many companies chose to hold meetings at our offices rather than their own. It is next to the station, has excellent public transport links, is close to the town centre and is on the edge of the motorway – it has to be one of the best locations in Sheffield.
“My employees enjoyed walking along the riverside on lunch breaks, taking in the fresh air and a well earned rest from the fast-paced city life. Alternatively, they would go shopping in the city centre which is just a five minute walk away.
“Set back off the main road, the venue not only hosts stunning views but has an all-round idyllic atmosphere.”
The offices have been completely refurbished and redecorated with new carpets and kitchen, and are ready for immediate occupation.
Wharf House also boasts private cobbled parking and is conveniently located close to the train station, tram stop and main vehicle routes into and out of Sheffield.
