easyVan.com clocks up a year of successful business

The low-cost van rental business easyVan.com is celebrating reaching a milestone, having received 10,000 online bookings in its first official year of operation.

Since officially launching in January 2007, this rapidly expanding business increased its number of rental locations to more than 120 sites, making it one of the biggest van hire networks in the UK.

Research has shown that the majority of its customers use this competitively priced van rental option for moving house, with others requiring short-term hire for furniture collection, helping students in and out of university accommodation and completing DIY projects. The outfit operates a similar business model to that of easyCar.com, another easyGroup business. This means easyVan.com acts as the Van Rental Company and is responsible for the website, marketing and customer services, while the actual vehicles are provided by a range of quality suppliers from the individual rental locations. The easyVan offering is working in partnership with Northgate plc, the UK's largest van leasing and hire company.
