Enhanced codeshare for Avianca & Delta

Avianca Airlines of Colombia have announced an extension of their codeshare agreement with Delta Air Lines of the US. This will allow Avianca passengers to travel on five new routes under the codeshare agreement.

These are: Altlanta to New York (Newark), Miami to Atlanta, Miami to New York (La Guardia),Fort Lauderdale to Atlanta and Fort Lauderdale to New York ( JFK).

Delta Air Lines is the second largest airline in the world in terms of destinations served.

Fabio Villegas Ramirez, President of Avianca, commented that the new arrangements will benefit passengers in terms of single ticket travel, short connection times and better control of interlining baggage.
