New flight route to Canada from London Gatwick

Canadian Affair Airline company Canadian Affair chose Canada Day, London to announce the launch of the first ever direct flight from the UK to New Brunswick - their second Atlantic Canada route, starting from May 2008.

The new service, launching the start of the 2008 summer season will allow passengers for the first time to travel direct from London Gatwick to New Brunswick's capital city of Fredericton. This will give travellers even greater access not only to the New Brunswick region but also the Atlantic Provinces of Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia.

Prices will start from £99.00 one way including taxes and operate weekly from 7th May 2008.

Anette Rayner, Canadian Affair's Managing Director, said: "The introduction of the UK's first ever direct service to New Brunswick will open up a new area of Canada's Atlantic coast to British travellers. It will aslo add to our existing flight schedule into the region, which currently offers a twice weekly service to Halifax, Nova Scotia.

The new London - Fredericton route demonstrates our commitment to grow our Canadian business and fly more people across the Atlantic - retaining our record for the widest choice of flights at the lowest fares. We will have over 60 weekly flights to CAnada in the summer of '08, from 11 airports to 8 fantastic Canadian destinations, we are the largest UK tour operator with the most seat capacity, we have built our company and will continue to grow by offering the best flying programme at the lowest airfares".

New Brunswick offers many sights and attractions for travellers wishing to explore unspoilt scenery, hundreds of miles of coastal roads and some of the best maritime experiences in Canada. These include the magnificent tides at the Bay of Fundy, coastlines at Hopewell Rocks, wild jet boat rides and whale watching.

Summer flights operate from 7th May - 28th October 2008. The service will depart from London Gatwick each Wednesday at 11.40 am arriving at Fredericton at 14.20 local time the same day. The return flight will depart Fredericton every Tuesday at 23.55 arriving at 09.55 the following day.
