Join in the world’s biggest food fight
Join more than 20,000 people for one of the craziest and messiest ‘fiestas’ in the world, La Tomatina, which takes place every year close to the Spanish city of Valencia.Flight Centre is currently offering a two night package to Valencia that includes transport and a guide to the La Tomatina Festival in the small Spanish town of Buñol, where you can join in the fun of pelting people with over ripe tomatoes that turn the streets into red juicy pools of slush.
This is Spain's most popular summer festival, which started in the 1940s when children started throwing their lunch at each other for sport in the town square. Sixty years on, the Buñol council now provides truckloads of ripe tomatoes for participants to hurl at each other on the last Wednesday of August every year.
The two night package is available from £335 per person including flights from Heathrow to Valencia with Iberia Airways, accommodation in Valencia at a 2* centrally located hotel, city tour of Valencia plus transport and guide for the festival. This is for departures in 28 August with the festival on 29 August.
