Air Southwest extends Newquay-Cork flight service
Air Southwest, the biggest operator of flights from Newquay Cornwall Airport, has announced that it is extending its service from Newquay to Cork. The summer service to Cork, which was due to end in September, will now continue through until the end of October, in response to customer demand.Flights take less than an hour and fares start from just £27 one-way including taxes at Airsouthwest.com.
Mike Coombes, Deputy Chief Executive at Air Southwest, said: "We've been delighted by the response to our new service from Newquay to Cork since it was launched early this year. For our customers in Cornwall, the Cork-Kerry region has proved to be an ideal short-break destination, and so easy to get to with our new air link from Newquay.”
Cork is situated in the South West of Ireland and County Cork is the largest of all Irish counties. Magnificent coastline, great bays, secret coves, rocky headlands and long soft golden sands mean it is one of the most attractive holiday areas in the country.
Newquay Cornwall Airport has welcomed the increased number of flights to the Emerald Isle. Chris Cain, Airport Project Director said: “We are pleased Air Southwest are extending this popular route to meet with demand from our passengers and will look forward to welcoming the route back next summer. We will be working hard with Air Southwest to develop a new winter flying programme as Newquay Cornwall Airport continues to grow and develop”.
Air Southwest also flies from Newquay to London Gatwick, Manchester, Leeds-Bradford, Bristol and Dublin.
