Aer Arann celebrates bank holiday bonanza

Aer Arann August has been a record month for Aer Arann, culminating in a bonanza UK bank holiday weekend. Colin Lewis, Head of Sales and Marketing at Aer Arann, announced: “We are delighted that Aer Arann passenger figures are reaching an all time high this month. We’ve exceeded all our expectations this year and as we will carry 135,000 passenger in August.”

Lewis continued: “This UK bank holiday weekend, Aer Arann will carry record numbers between the UK and Ireland. For example, between London and Galway, we will carry 30% more passengers than 2006. A staggering 99% of all our seats between the UK and Ireland are sold this Friday 24th. It’s a full house tomorrow between Ireland and the UK.

Over one million customers have travelled with Aer Arann across their 40 routes to 25 great destinations across Ireland, France and the UK. Our new ATR aircraft are greenest aircraft in the UK and Ireland - an environmentally friendly aircraft with lower emissions of CO2 due to reduced fuel burn, 70% lower fuel consumption than a jet on similar routes, and sets new standards in the industry for quietness.”
