Aer Arann sponsors Rally Ireland

Aer Arann today announced a partnership with Rally Ireland. Aer Arann will be Rally Ireland’s official airline during the Irish stage of the World Rally Championship (WRC) taking place in Ireland for the first time from this November.

This is Aer Arann’s first sponsorship of Rally Ireland and the airline will be flying the world’s top drivers and motor sports enthusiasts to Belfast and Sligo during the four day event.

Commenting on the announcement Colin Lewis, Head of Sales and Marketing at Aer Arann, said: “It’s fantastic for motor-sport in Ireland that this major event has been brought here. As official airline, Aer Arann is delighted to fly the world’s top drivers between stages and bring supporters along to see the action.”

Rally Ireland WRC takes place from 15th to 18th November 2007, commencing with a Super Special Stage at Parliament buildings in Belfast and with Special Stages throughout the beautiful north-western counties of Ireland.

Ronan Morgan, Rally Ireland, added "The partnership with Aer Arann is important as it will allow us to transport the drivers to Belfast and Sligo return for the Super Special start at Stormont. We will be the first country in the WRC series to use air transport in this way."
