Air Southwest asks Plymouth travellers their views

24th October 2007 Print
Air Southwest has joined forces with Plymouth City Airport and Plymouth Chamber of Commerce and Industry to get the views of the business community on air links from the city.

It is the first research project of its kind to be launched across Plymouth and focuses on the current provision of services and facilities and how they might be improved in the future to benefit travellers for both business and leisure.

The survey has been published on-line at Plymouthairport.com/survey and also in a four page pull-out of the Chamber of Commerce and Industrys October edition of Chamber Link magazine. It will also be distributed at Plymouth City Airport and through the customer email databases held by Air Southwest and the Chamber.

Air Southwest operates flights from Plymouth City Airport to London Gatwick four times daily, and to Manchester, Leeds Bradford, Bristol and Jersey.

The survey includes questions on the knowledge and use of routes from Plymouth, how services and facilities could be improved, desired destinations and current provision. It also covers check-in, executive lounge access and in-flight services.

Mike Coombes, deputy chief executive at Air Southwest said: "Good transport links are a vital component in the infrastructure of our city and region. It is important that we continue to develop our services to meet the needs of Plymouth, and this survey is a great opportunity for local people and businesses to have their say."

David Parlby, chief executive of Plymouth Chamber of Commerce said: "We are delighted to be involved in this initiative. Regular air links to other cities across the UK are beneficial to our local economy and undoubtedly improve the vitality of our city, speed and ease of access for both business and tourism. They help to increase prosperity and I look forward to receiving the feedback from the community".

Anyone completing the survey can be entered to win a pair of flights with Air Southwest to any destination served from Plymouth City Airport (subject to terms, conditions and availability). The closing date for entries and feedback is November 30, 2007.
