EL AL wins Cellars in the Sky award

EL AL, the national carrier of Israel, has been named as the winner of ‘Best First Class White Wine’ in the Cellars in the Sky 2007 wine awards, with its Blanc du Castel, Jerusalem Haut Judée, Chardonnay 2005.

EL AL offers a choice of wines from the best Israeli wineries, representing vineyards in Israel's "Land of Wine" cultivation regions. Side by side with products of the country's well-established wineries, are those of highly esteemed boutique vineyards that produce quality wines and win international recognition annually in respected competitions in Israel and Worldwide.

The awards were announced and presented on February 5, 2008 at the Business Travel Show at London¹s Earl’s Court. A wine tasting is taking place for visitors on all three days of the show.

The awards are run annually by Business Traveller Magazine, in association with the International Wine Challenge and Wine & Spirit Magazine.
