Fore! Delta adds service for 2008 Masters Tournament
Delta Air Lines — the Official Airline of the PGA TOUR — is making it more convenient for customers to stroll the links alongside some of the world’s best golfers during the 2008 Masters Tournament at the historic Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta.The airline is adding more than 23 flights — or nearly 5,000 seats — between Augusta and its largest hub in Atlanta from April 6-18. New Yorkers will also enjoy nonstop service to the Tournament between New York’s LaGuardia Airport and Augusta with the addition of a daily flight between April 8-14.
“When you talk about the Masters, no other airline is better positioned to get fans from around the world to this premier sporting event than Delta,” said Bob Cortelyou, Delta’s vice president of Network Planning. “Delta offers customers the most convenient access to Augusta with more daily seats to and from Augusta Regional Airport and convenient one-stop access to more than 200 global destinations from the world’s largest airline hub in Atlanta.”
The additional flights will be operated by Delta and Delta Connection carrier ASA.
