Low fares airline to fly direct to Dubai

29th February 2008 Print
Norwegian, Scandinavia’s leading low fare carrier, will from the 26th of October start direct flights from Oslo and Stockholm to Dubai. This is the first low cost route from Europe to this major destination in the United Arab Emirates.

The route will be served twice weekly from Oslo and thrice weekly from Stockholm, using the company’s brand new Boeing 737–800 aircrafts.

“We see no reason not to launch long haul routes based on our low cost model. Our new fleet of 737 – 800s from Boeing enables us to look even further when analyzing future markets and we aim to make good use of the opportunities the extra range gives us. These new aircrafts are fitted with the newest in seat design, giving comfort and more leg room to our customers,” says Mr. Bjørn Kjos, CEO.

“With five weekly direct flights from Scandinavia, our customers will have the flexibility to choose length of stay and a chance to escape either a hot summer or a cold winter. A direct connection also means that people wanting to travel between Scandinavia and Dubai no longer have to struggle through connections at European airport hubs with outgrown capacity and all the attached problems you get from that. This new direct option is certainly the best alternative for both the business and leisure traveler,” says Mr. Daniel Skjeldam, Chief Commercial Officer.

Prices start from EUR 129, one way, all taxes and charges included. Tickets go on sale Wednesday 5th of March at 14:00.
