Delta is launching a new online shopping destination, SkyMiles Store, that is now open for business for global shoppers. The site provides a wide selection of travel-related products such as luggage, luggage tags, passport holders and retail items including apparel, and sports and leisure items, as well as selections from the Medallion Collection.

The store also gives customers the ability to purchase customized products while affording them generous mileage-earning opportunities. Anyone can shop at the store, but SkyMiles members will earn 10 miles per dollar spent. Plus, members can earn an extra 500 miles for every $100 spent through June 15, 2008.

“Delta’s new SkyMiles Store is another way we’re adding value to the SkyMiles program, and it is stocked with unique merchandise and high-quality, globally-recognized brands that shoppers seek,” said Jeff Robertson, managing director of the SkyMiles program. “Additionally, we hope our customers enjoy sporting their one-of-a-kind SkyMiles and Medallion merchandise for many years to come.”

The SkyMiles Store offers non-stop shopping and is open 24 hours a day. Customers may visit delta.com/skymilesstore to begin shopping. Purchases can be shipped within the United States and around the world.

Sample merchandise includes:

• Hartmann and other high-end luggage and luggage tags complete with customers’ Medallion status;
• Travel-related items including passport holders, power adapters, and noise cancelling headsets;
• Apparel from leading brands such as Nike, LaCoste, and Cutter & Buck; and
• Dozens of other SkyMiles, Medallion and Million MilerTM branded products.

The award-winning Delta SkyMiles program offers members multiple mileage-earning opportunities when flying Delta, Delta Shuttle, the Delta Connection carriers, Delta AirElite and other SkyTeam airlines. Additional mileage-building opportunities are offered through more than 100 partners such as the Delta SkyMiles Credit Card from American Express, SkyMilesShopping.com, participating hotels, car rental companies, telecommunication services, restaurants, retailers and more.

Now in its 27th year, SkyMiles is one of the longest-running and most successful loyalty programs in the travel industry and was named “Best Frequent Flyer Program” for 2006 and 2007 by Business Traveler magazine.
