Every seat, every flight to Jersey – just £39
Every seat on every flight between Plymouth and Jersey with Air Southwest will be just £39*, it was announced yesterday. The seats, which include all taxes and charges, can only be booked on-line at Airsouthwest.com/sale up to Sunday 11 August, subject to availability, for travel until 31 October 2008.Air Southwest offers a daily short-hop flight to the Channel Island, taking just 45 minutes from the airline’s Plymouth base and is popular with both business and leisure travellers.
Mike Coombes, Deputy Chief Executive of Air Southwest said: “Today’s announcement underlines our position as the South West’s own low-fare airline and demonstrates that we continue to deliver what our customers really want - permanently low fares, with no hidden extras.
“With a poor exchange rate between the pound and Euro, Jersey is a great value destination but still a world away from the South West. The island is VAT-free so there are significant savings to be made by visitors shopping there.”
Located 100 miles south of mainland Britain, Jersey is well renowned for its unspoilt landscape with top class beaches and coastline attracting visitors year round. It is also famous for its blend of British and French influences, history and culture and although it is the most southerly island of the British Isles, it is much closer to France, just 14 miles from its coast.
Later this year, Air Southwest will launch new flights to French skiing destination Grenoble from Plymouth for the first time ever. It’s been a busy year for the airline which launched four new destinations including Dublin, Cork, Glasgow and Newcastle back in April.
Air Southwest also has four flights a day, seven days a week from Plymouth to London Gatwick and has regular flights to Manchester, Jersey and Bristol.
All flights can be booked on-line now at Airsouthwest.com/sale starting from £39 one way including taxes and charges.
