Delta announces new services between NYC the Dominican Republic

27th August 2008 Print
Delta has announced a schedule change for flights connecting New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport to Santo Domingo and Santiago, Dominican Republic. The two routes will operate on Saturdays starting December 13, 2008.

Delta currently offers daily nonstop service between New York-JFK and Santo Domingo and Santiago. These flights will be temporarily suspended in mid-September and will return as a weekly frequency in December, just in time for the holiday rush.

Also in December, Delta will begin nonstop service between Atlanta and Santiago, making the Dominican Republic the country with the most routes for the airline in the Caribbean.

These flights complement Delta’s current nonstop service connecting Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport to Santo Domingo, Punta Cana and Puerto Plata.

“Delta is responding to the needs of the growing Dominican population in New York City, especially during the holiday season when so many of our valued customers fly home to visit friends and family,” said Christophe Didier, Delta’s vice president for Sales and Government Affairs for Latin America and the Caribbean.
