Delta to resume Houston operations following Hurricane Ike

19th September 2008 Print
Delta Air Lines this weekend will operate its full schedule of departures from Houston’s Hobby and Bush-Intercontinental airports, adding back early morning flights to the schedule that Delta and its Connection partners have not been operating since Hurricane Ike moved through Houston last weekend.

With the fully restored schedule, Delta customers will again be able to enjoy full flight schedules between Houston and Delta’s hubs in Atlanta, Cincinnati, New York-JFK and Salt Lake City.

On Friday and Saturday, Delta and the Delta Connection carriers plan to operate 18 departures from Hobby and Bush-Intercontinental airports, with 21 departures – a full schedule – planned for Sunday and Monday.

Delta also is offering customers special round-trip fares for travel originating in Houston as low as $69* each way for domestic flights under 500 miles and as low as $119* each way for domestic flights more than 500 miles. Tickets must be purchased by Sept. 19 with travel complete by Oct. 1. Fares are one-way based on a round-trip purchase.

Houston customers are invited to book the special fare via Delta’s Web site at delta.com.
