Jet Airways scoops another accolade
At a ceremony at New York’s Public Library recently, Condé Nast Traveler in the US (one of the world’s leading high end travel magazines) announced that Jet Airways has been voted as one of the top three airlines in the world in its 2008 Readers Choice Awards survey.Jet Airways, India’s leading international airline, launched a North American service last summer from Mumbai and Delhi to New York’s JFK and Newark airports – adding Toronto Pearson International and San Francisco International airports within the past year.
Upon hearing of the Condé Nast Traveler selection, Naresh Goyal – Chairman and Founder of Jet Airways – expressed his delight, saying: “When we started transatlantic service, one of my goals was to be recognized as one of the world’s top airlines within 5 years. Jet Airways, the only airline to fly from India with luxury first class private suites, is fast being recognised for its quality and service with recent awards by the UK’s consumer magazine, Which?, awarding it second best airline in the world; TTG Asia, awarding Jet Airways the ‘Best Domestic Airline’ accolade in its 2008 travel awards and Business Traveller Magazine awarding Jet ‘Best Indian Airline’ at the annual awards.
