Royal Jet picks up another WTA award
Royal Jet, the Abu Dhabi-headquartered international luxury executive flight services company - chaired by H.E. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan – has once again been honoured by the World Travel Awards by being named the Middle East’s Leading Private Jet Charter at a glittering ceremony at the new Dubai Atlantis Hotel on The Palm. The World Travel Awards (WTA) are regarded as the travel industry's equivalent of the 'Oscars'; and picking up the award from Miss Zi Lin Zhang - Miss World 2007 on behalf of Royal Jet was its President and CEO Shane O’Hare.
“What makes this award so special,” O’Hare said, “is that the winners in each category are decided by votes received from agents and travel professionals in the Middle East and throughout the world. So it is a firm endorsement by the industry itself that we are regarded as the best private jet charter in the region.
“This has not come about by accident, of course,” he continued, “but by the hard work of all the Royal Jet staff and by the vision and leadership of our chairman, Sheikh Hamdan. We have worked tirelessly to offer the very best to our customers in terms both of security and unequalled luxury.
“We have recently committed to spending in excess of $50 million on the refurbishment of our fleet of five Boeing Business Jets – the largest BBJ fleet in the world, and the only one of its kind in the Middle East – to make them even more luxurious and to fit them out with the very best. The fact that we have decided to invest so much into this upgrade programme amply demonstrates the unequalled commitment we give to our customers.
“So, after five years, it is clear we are setting new standards within the industry and we are in a class of our own - the world’s first and only truly luxury private jet brand,” O’Hare concluded.
