Alternative Airlines launches advanced search facility
Expanding on-line flight booking specialist, AlternativeAirlines.com has upgraded its online booking technology to allow easy booking of complex flight itineraries, including open-jaw, stop-overs and multi-sector flight routings. Passengers can now use Alternative Airlines Advanced Search to compare and book four stage itineraries involving combinations of different airlines - both large and small.Booking up to four sectors within a single transaction is ideal for long haul return trips, involving a stopover in both directions, and is a significant improvement on the three sector limit imposed by most on-line booking websites.
Combined with Alternative Airlines large selection of exotic and lesser-known carriers, and with no restrictions on departure or destination points, the new Advanced Search also makes it easy to find and book complex regional itineraries, with the added reassurance of secure card payments in Pounds Sterling, and Payment Protection in the event of airline failure.
Managing Director John Pope said: "Earlier this year we asked our customers what extra they would like to see on our site and their response was loud and clear. They wanted to be able to self-cost and then easily book, open jaw and multi sector itineraries. It is a big step forward for us to be able to provide this, but we felt that it was essential in our quest to make more and more smaller airlines available to online bookers."
Alternative Airlines On-line Editor, John Kemp said: "It is our goal to provide a single site, from which customers can book any airline ticket in the world. Already we offer bookings with over 300 different airlines, from Air Vanuatu to Zambian Airways.
“We aim to provide our customers the ability to quickly and easily book flights from anywhere with an airport, to anywhere else in the world with an airport, even on obscure routes and unfamiliar airlines.
“The site is also packed full of news on new airline routes, information about each airline, as well as air travel news and details of special fares and travel tips. With it's wealth of information on global carriers, the Alternative Airlines website has also become a favourite amongst airline enthusiasts, who can read up on the latest airlines to be launched."
