Thomson announces ATOL protection on all flight bookings
With economic uncertainties and the key holiday booking period looming, holidaymakers want reassurances that their money is financially protected. With immediate effect, all customers booking a flight on Thomson Airways are covered under the government backed ATOL scheme, meaning that customers can book in the knowledge that their money is safe.Tim Williamson, Customer Director commented, “Our recent annual results showed record profits and as Europe’s largest travel company, we are financially robust. However, customers are confused about financial protection. They just don’t realise that when they book a flight direct with a scheduled or low cost airline, they are taking a gamble with their hard earned money. We want to send a clear message that they can choose to book with a company who will look after their money or they can book with a low cost carrier and keep their fingers crossed.”
The move comes as Thomson and First Choice unveil a wide range of early booking offers and launch a national advertising campaign for both brands. The message from the UK’s largest travel company is clear – book early to secure the lowest prices for 2009, and with confidence that your holiday is protected.
