IranAir launches new website for the UK market

IranAir, the National Carrier of the Islamic Republic of Iran, has launched a new website for UK customers - iranair.co.uk. The site includes online booking services, provided by flight specialist, Alternative Airlines, and shows live availability and prices for IranAir flights between London and principal cities in Iran.

IranAir currently flies three times weekly, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, between London Heathrow and Tehran Imam Khomeini International Airport. Onward connections, bookable through the new website, provide convenient links to the cities of Mashad, Shiraz and Tabriz.

The flights from London to Tehran are operated by modern, 265 seat, Airbus A300-600 aircraft, in a two class cabin configuration, which includes the renowned "Homa" Business Class service. Online prices for a return trip between London and Tehran in Economy Class start from £482.70, fully inclusive of prepaid passenger taxes and service charges.

Mr Daryoush Niknam, UK General Manager for Iran Air, said: "As the traffic from London to Tehran increases, we plan to increase the number of weekly Iran Air flights between these two great cities. The new website and online booking facility is aimed at helping those who prefer to use the internet, rather than the more traditional Travel Agent."
