Coventry Airport in tie up with Marshall Aerospace

21st May 2009 Print
Marshall Airport Cambridge has officially taken over the provision of Air Traffic Services at Coventry Airport in an exciting contract that will see Marshall manage all air traffic control, air traffic engineering and aeronautical ground lighting.

Airport Director Brian Cox said “Marshall Aerospace is a well respected company with a proven track record in the air traffic services field. I look forward to working closely with them and developing a long term relationship.”

Alan Siddoway, contract manager of Marshall Aviation Services added “We are dedicated to providing the highest quality management, technical and support services to the aviation industry and see winning this contract as testament to our innovation in this field”.

Air traffic control is currently provided in house and this move to outsource the service is very much part of the airport’s long term strategic development plan to upgrade and improve facilities on site.

Coventry Airport recently took over handling of the Fixed Based Operation (FBO) and has received an excellent response from customers who welcome the efficient and discreet service provided. Rapide House on the south side of the airport is currently undertaking a major refurbishment and is on schedule to open as a dedicated executive jet centre in April.

Cargo operations have also been moved to the south side as part of the airport’s continuing aim to divert traffic away from neighbouring Baginton Village.
